  1. Introduction The Coogee Run Club events are community-led, volunteer-organised runs held at no cost to participants. By participating, you acknowledge that these activities involve physical exertion and outdoor conditions that carry inherent risks. You are responsible for ensuring your own safety, fitness, and wellbeing at all times.
  2. Health and Safety It is recommended that all participants consult their doctor before taking part in any physically demanding activity, including running. By registering and participating, you confirm that you are medically fit to do so and understand that Coogee Run Club and its volunteers cannot be held liable for any injury, illness, or harm sustained before, during, or after the event.
  3. Medical Responsibility I accept full responsibility for all medical expenses and costs incurred by me arising from any injury or incident which occurs in connection with my participation in Coogee Run Club activities. I understand that first aid or medical assistance may not always be immediately available and that I am responsible for any associated medical costs.
  4. Personal Property I accept full responsibility for the security of my personal possessions while attending or participating in Coogee Run Club activities. I agree that Coogee Run Club, its organisers, volunteers, sponsors, or partners are not responsible for the repair, replacement, or recovery of any of my personal property whether lost, damaged, stolen, or otherwise.
  5. Use of Facilities and Public Spaces Coogee Run Club activities are conducted in public areas, including parks, paths, and beaches. No special authorisation or exclusive use of facilities is granted. Participants take part at their own risk and are expected to follow local council regulations, road rules, and park guidelines at all times.
  6. Photography and Media Consent Coogee Run Club may take photographs and videos during events for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant Coogee Run Club permission to use these images and recordings for marketing, media, and online content without expectation of compensation.
  7. Privacy and Personal Information Personal information collected during registration is used solely to manage events, communicate with participants, and ensure safety. Data is stored securely and not shared with any third party unless required by law. By registering, you consent to this collection and use of your information in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
  8. Liability and Assumption of Risk By participating in Coogee Run Club events, you voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with participation, including but not limited to injury, illness, loss, or damage. You release Coogee Run Club, its organisers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners from any and all claims or liability arising from your participation, to the maximum extent permitted by Australian law.
  9. Participant Declaration By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver, and agree to participate in Coogee Run Club activities at my own risk. I understand that this release applies to all future Coogee Run Club events I attend, unless otherwise withdrawn in writing.
