Beginners Course - 14th & 21st December 2024 (Members Only)

The purpose of the class is to teach people the basic skills required to undertake & advance in the sport of Archery. It is for people who want to get serious in Archery. Classes are restricted to 20 people & run from 10:00 to 13:00 over two (2) consecutive Saturday mornings.

Course Information

WHEN: Classes run from 10:00 to 13:00 on two (2) consecutive Saturdays. You must attend both course days to successfully complete this course.

WHERE: The course will be conducted at our club grounds at: Centenary Archers Club, 427 Wacol Station Road Sumner, QLD 4074

Compound & Longbow archers are welcome however the Course will be conducted using Recurve Bows only. Most of the skills taught are directly transferable between different bow types.

  • You MUST be aged 10 or older.
  • You MUST NOT be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • You MUST wear fully enclosed footwear.
  • Tie back long hair so it does not get caught in the bow string.
  • Remove necklaces, ear, nose and lip rings so they do not get caught in the bow string.
  • Bring water, food, sunscreen and a hat (soft school hats are best, baseball caps are not suitable as they provide little sun protection and interfere with the bow string).
  • Physical contact may be necessary when correcting posture & fitting/adjusting equipment.
    • Please let our instructors know in advance if this is an issue.

The Club will provide all equipment (including safety equipment) necessary for the class.

All classes are run by fully accredited Archery Australia Archery Instructors.

The price of this course has had a membership discount of 50% applied, because you are a current financial member of our club (Centenary Archers Club inc.).

  • cancel your booking (potentially without a refund); or
  • require you join our club prior to commencement of the course; or
  • reschedule your booking to a later date; or
  • demand further payment to cover the discounted amount.
