About
MJ Golf Performance
Michael Jones is a product of a more modern day approach to golf teaching and has achieved remarkable results with many of his students. he has students of all levels and no one student has the same swing so Michael's teaching philosophy is to treat all students as individuals, that is, not one swing method for all students. Michael coaches Australian touring professionals Brad Kennedy and Matthew Millar plus Japanese Tour Pro Masastugu Morofuji (Winner 2012 Fujisankei Classic).
Coaching from Michael has seen all three achieve outstanding results. See their testimonials:
Brad Kennedy had played for 12 years as a tour professional for no wins but the new coach has assisted in 5 tour victories including the 2012 Mizuno OPEN and 2013 Kansai OPEN on the Japan tour plus 2013 QLD PGA, 2012 BMW NZ OPEN and 2011 WA OPEN. Brad has also played in the 2011 and 2012 British Opens.
Matthew Millar won the qualifying for 2011 British Open (Royal St Georges) where he made the cut and finished 55th.
Baxter Ward (Hcp Scr), an excellent junior talent, won the Byron Nelson Junior Classic in the USA this year.
Michael enjoys coaches all levels of golfer and designs practice, golf fitness and pre/post round schedules for his clients regardless of handicap.
Part of Michael's coaching encompasses physical training designed for golf - a one point of difference in his coaching regime. He encourages diversity and 'think outside the box' methodology when preparing for a practice session or round. Many of Michael's clients young or young at heart appreciate the extra qualified advice when discussing swing methodology or exercises to suit there individual golf swing or body type. Many of the golf specific programs that Michael designs include all aspects of golf fitness not just stretching or core exercises. He likes to view golf as an athletic game so his clients are treated like athletes not people who just hit golf balls. The final point Michael makes about his approach is that most of your physical preparation can be done on the range or in the locker room. As he suggests to his clients get the physical aspects right and the swing mechanics will follow.
As a Teaching professional AAA rated with a Sports Science diploma plus experience teaching and playing in Australia and overseas, Michael Jones has considerable knowledge to assist members, juniors or professionals and as his reputation grows the results of his students are his best form of advertising.
Michael is fluent in Japanese and is truly an international coach with clients coming from Japan, New Zealand, Korea, India, and America.
Given his extensive expertise, teaching skills and his keenness to incorporate the latest technology you will, without a doubt, be impressed and appreciate the level of service and commitment Michael provides whether its a private lesson or a stay and play package.
