How will the players be selected?

Firstly, a series of state trials will be initially held across Australia in all major capital cities in early 2024, for the purpose of identifying players to be invited to attend the final national selection trials, to be staged in April 2024 (U11 - April 10-12 & U13 - April 13-15).

The State trials are open to all registered junior football players, from the Under 11 and Under 13 years age groups. Age Groups For Under 11, all players born 2013 or 2014 For Under 13, all players born 2011 or 2012 ​ A minimum of 15 players per State trial location will be invited to attend the National Trials.

Secondly, National Trials consisting of all players selected from each state trial location, will be staged in SE QLD, April 2024, and will be attended by representatives from the Cristiano Ronaldo Football Campus. The CRFC representative will be responsible for selecting 24 players (12 per age group) from the National Trials. As mentioned above, all 24 selected players will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Madeira, Portugal.

The CRFC Global Youth Tournament is a FIFA sanctioned event, and is attended by some of the biggest football clubs and football scouts from around the world. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, not to be missed.
